Tidy Tip Tuesday - Spud Muffins?
The Tidy Tip Tuesday post from two weeks ago was Tidy Tip Tuesday - Meatloaf Muffins? Since then I came across this great idea regarding baking potatoes:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Scrub and dry enough whole russet potatoes to offer one per person. Puncture each potato with a fork or knife several times to allow steam to escape during baking. Stand potatoes in a muffin tin, filling the empty tins halfway with water to prevent from smoking or warping during baking time.
Baked this way, the potatoes with cook faster. Check for doneness after 35-45 minutes, by piercing with a fork or knife. If potato is soft inside, it is done.
That is such a great idea Sharon! I get impatient sometimes and take them out too early. Crunchy baked potatoes are yuck! 40 minutes for a baked potato?
